ServicesCommercial Wall covering SpecialtyI have been installing commercial wall coverings for about 20 years. This includes all type I, II, and extra heavyweight 54” vinyl; as well as the full range of olefins and fabrics (backed and un-backed). I have worked in all types of commercial environments: hospitals, nursing homes, offices (doctor, dental, executive), hotels, apartment complexes and schools. I have the experience and equipment to tackle a large 3-story atrium in a lobby or office building and install the large volume of wall covering needed in hotel corridors. Residential Wallpaper ExperienceI began my career installing residential wallpaper as an adjunct to my painting service. Early on I limited myself to simple jobs (bedrooms and hallways), installing simple papers on plain simple flat walls. I also acted as helper to more experienced installers doing more difficult installations on my jobs. This was how I began to acquire the simple skills that I was able to transform into a successful paperhanging business. Today I offer the full range of service necessary to complete even the most difficult residential installation successfully: wallpaper removal, wall repair and priming, trim preparation and painting, ceiling painting, and wallpaper installation (high-end, entry level, torn paper, and specialty papers). Experience with even the most demanding wall preparation conditions and room or ceiling dimensions makes me eager to take on the installations that might be intimidating to others. Specialty InstallationsI have, for the last several years, been taking my business in a slightly less traditional direction. I have begun installing torn papers, Japanese rice papers, high-impact rigid and self-adhesive vinyl wall coverings and other highly decorative (but not necessarily traditional wall covering) materials. Also, some of the more traditional papers can be used in more artistic ways, producing very distinctive and personalized looks. These installations can be very dramatic and making them work does require a thorough understanding of the materials and adhesives available. My association with the NGPP has afforded me a chance to get this information over the years from a large network of top quality installers across the country. |
