I have been installing wallpaper for over 20 years, being a second generation contractor. I was trained on-the-job, beginning part time at age 14, working summers and weekends.

I established my own painting and wallpapering business, David A, DiBacco Painting and Wallpapering (DBA), in 1978. I established Artistic Designs by David A. DiBacco (DBA) in 2003.

In the 1980’s I was a member of the PDCA (Painting and Decorating Contractors of America) trade association and an active member of the Rochester chapter. I attended several NY State conventions, participated in several local professional seminars and workshops. In 1987 I joined the NGPP (National Guild of Professional Paperhangers), another national trade association. In 1992 I took and passed the national certification test offered by the NGPP and achieved the CP (Certified Paperhanger) designation. I continue working as a full time installer and acquiring educational credits to maintain my CP status

I have been active with the NGPP at the local and national level. I am a member of the Upstate NY Chapter of the NGPP. I have attended many seminars and workshops at the national and local levels. I have done seminars and workshops on paperhanging at both the national and local level. I currently serve on the NGPP Board of Directors as the national vice-president. For the last 6 years I have been on the convention committee helping to establish educational programs for presentation at the NGPP national conventions.

I have a wide range of wall covering installation experience. I have installed in homes, offices, institutions and hotels. I have experience installing vinyl, paper, fabric, Anaglypta, Lincrusta, high impact plastics, murals, photo murals and specialty papers, among others.

I also offer consulting on wallpaper projects. I offer selection and installation advice. I can also help diagnose installation problems and offer technical advice.
