Full Care Nursing Facility

This full care nursing facility has several unique materials as well as the use of traditional 54” commercial vinyl. The metal radiator covers and elevator received Belbien, a decorative adhesive vinyl film. Also, a rigid vinyl sheet from IPC, a superior alternative to paint for a long-lasting maintenance solution and the perfect choice for high traffic areas, installed below the chair rail. There is a photomural installed in the resident common area. And all the corridors have wallpaper and border above the chair rail.

Paint & Torn paper

This series of photos show the repair, paint, priming, and installed look of an open entry, stairway and abbreviated upper hall done over plaster. The hallway was altered to turn this large single family home into multi-family apartments. Old wallpaper was removed and the old crystallized adhesive washed clean. Then the damaged plaster was stabilized and repaired (using plaster) both ceiling and wall. The plaster corners were repaired with self stick mesh drywall tape and compounded (drywall compound) to stabilize the corners. Every surface (walls, ceilings, trim) was primed. Ceilings and trim were finished with paint. The wall were installed with Vahallan Papers torn paper (pattern: Oxford).

Torn Paper

This series of photos is dominated by a torn paper installation. What makes this unique is the curved surfaces and edges that needed to be negotiated and the fact that the walls had a very heavy pebble texture adding dimension to the depth of the torn paper. Also, I installed an expanded vinyl on a textured ceiling and painted it.

Repair and Repaper

This group of photos has sets of pictures showing before and after shots covering three rooms in a beautiful stately old city home. The job involved plaster repair, repaint and repaper. This job also employed some molding repair, replacement and installation. Many of the windows were painted shut, I freed them and replaced sash chord. The leaded glass pocket doors were put back on the internal track, and put back in service.
